Kimberly Miller Proposal
Rurality
I have lived in Florida most of my life. The first half was in Orlando, the second half in Lake County. When moving to a rural setting in Leesburg I noticed there were many differences in the two communities, one of the main distinctions is the pace of progress. Orlando’s has always been on the fast track to the future, speeding right along. In contrast Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties have not chose to be in that type of race. It's as if they're in a time warp.
The distinctions between an urban life style and the small town living I have chose is the story I want to tell. The story of communities including their architecture, the vast landscapes, the people, antiquities and detritus. I believe all these different elements of rurality living will make for an interesting visual experience.
