the critique helped me to see how others approached their projects, and how I could learn from their techniques. It became especially apparent that my photographs should have far more contrast, in that the most successful pieces I saw in the critique seemed to all have high contrast. Furthermore the critique helped me see my project so far, and see how all of my pictures look together as a group. The diversity in composition and subjects of the others' works gave me ideas for my own work, and their critiques of my work allowed me to see how I can improve.
